Hello and welcome to another week of my 2024 diaries series . I hope your summer as been full of good energy and lots of fun and memoriable moments. Today’s post will be all about things you can do to heal gracefully.
This year has taught me so much during my healing journey.
We surely cannot control every aspect of our lives, others, or outcomes. We can however control our perspective and the actions that we take.
When we face challenges, disappointment, experience loss or in the process of learning how to navigate change it’s crucial to not allow these situations to dictate how we live our lives.
While it may be difficult to keep moving forward, it’s necessary. Giving yourself permission to heal and time to process in a healthy way will help you take small steps daily to become a healthier and happier you!
Understanding that healing is a journey that takes time, effort, and patience will help you so give yourself grace through all that you endure.
Healing gracefully will not magically take your problems away. But, it will make the journey fulfilling and help you become more resilient, wiser, disciplined, and confident. Which may lead to you living a more joyful life.

1. Let Faith Be The Focus
One daily habit that I find EXTREMELY helpful on good days and especially on bad days is staying rooted in my faith.
Everything that we experience in life is an opportunity to grow in faith and allow God to be all that He wants to be in our lives.
Knowing that you don’t ever have to face anything alone or know the next steps because He has a plan for you can help put your heart to ease. Whether you’re needing comfort, healing, joy, wisdom, or just want a listening ear, invite Jesus into your daily life. A few ways to build faith daily are:
- Reading your Bible.
- Listening to worship music.
- Biblical affirmations.
- Prayer.
- Creating a faith-based morning routine.
2. Process Emotions In A Healthy Way
Another way to heal gracefully is processing your emotions in a healthy way.
When you’re going through difficult times, it’s easy to let your feelings and emotions get the best of you. Which is why it’s important to process them since they can turn to thoughts and lead to the actions you may or may not take.
Feelings and emotions are also a natural response to what we experience whether it be good or bad. A few ways you can healthily process emotions are:
- Positive self-talk.
- Jouarnaling.
- Acknowledging your thoughts and feelings.
- Daily movement such as walking, jogging, dancing, or other physical activites.
- Building a strong support system, going to therapy, or surrounding yourself with positive people.
3. Live Your Life!!
Life isn’t about what you endure, but rather how you decide to live your life.
Life is a journey and there will be ups and downs. Therefore, it’s up to you to determine how you view those experiences and the impact in makes on your life .
During the unexpected, challenging, and most difficult times in life it’s aLao important to remember to live your life. Why? Because all you have is the present.
Everything that go through can bring both blessings and lessons that allow us to accept the past and focus on showing up as our most authentic self one day at a time.
Ways you can live and embrace your life during your difficult times are:
- Creating new routines.
- Getting reinspired.
- Make time for fun.
- Change up your look.
- Join a community.
- Spend time with family and loved ones.
4. Start Something New
Starting something new can be a breathe fresh air. When you’re going through a healing journey you may feel the urge to let go things that no longer serve the most healed version of yourself.
Letting go things that may be hindering your growth, healing, overall happiness can be beneficial to your health and wellbeing.
If you’re finding yourself in a rut and can’t seem to move forward, then making some positive changes in your life may assist you in your healing journey.
A few things you can do to spark joy and create change in your life are:
- Starting a new hobby.
- Learning a new skill.
- Changing your routine.
- Creating new habits.
- Starting a fitness challenge.
5. Be Mindful During Your Healing Journey
Lastly, healing can be a beautiful, messy, and unpredictable journey. Yet, it’s something that we all must partake in to become better and live better.
During your healing journey it’s important to be mindful. Mindful of your thoughts, actions, all that you consume, the people you choose to allow into your life, the words you speak, and the energy you put into things.
This will help you to make better decisions and live a more intentional life.
A few ways you can practice living intentionally are:
- Using your time wisely.
- Showing up as your authentic self.
- Practicing gratitude daily.
- Having a growth mindset.
- Living a joyful life.
- Spreading kindness.
- Preparing nutritional meals for yourself.
