With over a month into social distancing, time just seems to fly by! Nowadays, it’s hard to keep track of the time. I find it a bit crazy that we often read about history in school, but to be apart of history in the making is life-changing. Never in a million years, I would of thought we’ll be experiencing a time like this.
When your way of navigating through life changes at the blink of an eye, it’s certain that you’ll face many changes. This time of uncertainty has brought on a lot of emotions. However, there’s good emotions and the not so good.
Although, we don’t know what’s to come and how things will unfold. It’s best to stay focus on the good and make the most of this season of life. Also, this time has helped me take many positive shifts in my day-to-day life. Instead of letting this time go to waste, I’ve used this time to nourish some of the most important areas of my life!
1. STAYING ACTIVE
I can admit that it was difficult staying active and getting my body moving for at least 30 minutes a day. For the most part, being consistent was a huge issue for me. That was until I made it apart of my daily routine. Since then, it’s become something I look forward to each day! Nature walks by far are my favorite ways of getting fresh air, staying active, all while soaking up the wellness benefits that nature has to offer.
2. PERFECTING MY CRAFTS
This has been a huge opportunity for me to focus on the things I love and enjoy. I’ve even picked up a few new hobbies. For instances, gardening and DIY projects around the house.
On the business aspect of it, I’ve been able to work on online courses to help me on my blogging journey. In addition to learning and growing my brand, I’ve been encouraging others to take this time to find out what their passionate about and pursing it.
3. NEW ROUTINES
I remember when time was very limited and I wish I had more of it to get things done. Now, I have more than enough time on my hands to prioritize all aspects of my life. By doing so, I’ve developed an effective morning and evening routine that brings more peace and clarity to my life. Which has helped me stay sane and protect my well-being.
4. GETTING CREATIVE IN THE KITCHEN
Since we’re spending more time at home, I’ve definitely been cooking a lot more! I can say that putting together new dishes and baking treats, has been heart warming. Which is something we all can use during this time. While I can’t wait to dine in at the restaurants my husband and I absolutely love, I’m cherishing these moments and making the most of them.
5. STAYING CONNECTED
While social distancing, you can’t physically visit your family and loved ones. Which may cause you to feel isolated or alone. Luckily, there are many ways to stay connected to those who are important in your life. You can call, FaceTime, shoot them a text, or even have a Netflix party. This is only a few ways you can stay connected with the people you hold near and dear to your heart!
