8 Ways To Enjoy Your Weekend
Unique Ways To Spend Your Weekend
1. Plan Your Weekend
One of the best ways to enjoy your weekend, is to plan your weekend.
Just like any other day, being intentional of how you want to spend your time can help you make sure you put your focus into the things that you want to do.
Even if you don’t plan on doing anything productive. It would be helpful to make sure you’re dedicating the time needed to the things that you would like to accomplish over the weekend or on your off days.
2. Theme Your Weekends
Theming your weekends can be as fun or intentional as you want it to be.
Whether you would like to have reoccurring tasks for specific weekends throughout the month. You might find that this makes your life easier and helps you create more balance in your life.
And this can help you spend less time trying to decide what to do and just refer to a list or note you’ve already created. Theming your weekends can be extremely helpful if you make a list for whether you want to have a fun, productive, or even relaxed weekend.
A few quick lists you can make are:
- Having a hobby themed weekend
- Creating a list of movies or show you would like to watch
- Creating a cleaning list
- Creating a list of areas in your home you want to organize
- Making a list of weekend projects that you can complete during your days off
3. Spend Quality Time With Your Loved Ones
The weekdays are usually filled with task to complete, responsibilities to fulfill and other things demanding our attention. Which leaves little to few moments that we can spend creating meaningful memories and connections with the people we love.
If you’re busy throughout the week, then setting aside time during the weekend or even your off days to spend with family will help you prioritize time for the people that matter.
4. Make One Day A Flow Day
A fun and more relaxed approach to enjoying your weekend is allowing your weekend or time off to be flow days.
Your flow day can be designed however you see fit. If you want it to be a day of no tracking where your time is being spent and simply just being present.
You can make it just that. Personally, I love days like this.
My day for this is Sunday and while my Sunday’s are spent spending time with God, intentionally, quality time with family, and resetting for the new week.
I tend to just allow myself to enjoy the rest of the day doing what ever feels aligned with how I plan to spend the upcoming week.
5. Make Fun Plans For Your Weekend
This may require some planning in preparation financially before hand.
However, making plans for the weekend can give you something to look forward to and help you feel more motivated to get through the week. Whether it’s trying a new restaurant, cafe, activity, or even visiting a new city.
It’s crucial to balance both fun and responsibilities in order to life a fulfilling life.
6. Work On Your Passions
If you’re balancing work and life while trying to pursue your passion(s) then what better way to make time for something you love.
For many people, this is the only time to work on building something meaningful. While it is a sacrifice and commitment, it’s very much worth the investment to your future.
You’d be surprised at how working towards your passion help you evolve personally and professionally.
7. Do That One Thing You’ve Been Putting Off
If there’s anything you’ve been putting off not matter the reason. Make it your goal to do it.
No matter how difficult it may seem. You’d be amazed at how little time and effort it took do complete it. Or perhaps you feel like you’re incapable of doing it. Set a time for 10, 15, or 30 minutes and start doing the thing!
This simple habit helps me get out of my own my mind and challenging myself to completing something I find important.
8. Reset Your Entire Life
If you’ve been lacking clarity and direction, then the weekend would make a great time to organize your life. It may seem overwhelming or even like there isn’t enough time to do so.
But, all you need is to set aside a few hours aside to really focus and start creating a plan. If you don’t know where to start, you can check out my blog post about resetting your life to help you take a step forward.
