1. Spend Intentional Time With God Daily
Dedicating time to grow your faith is crucial. Setting aside daily time with God when planning your week is a great way to make sure you’re making time to do so.
During your weekly reset it may be helpful to decide on what days and times you can prioritize faith. Whether you plan to start your day with God, spend time with Him throughout the day, or before bed.
I find it very therapeutic to start my days with God. This allows me go about my day with a calm heart, positive mind, and confidence knowing that God is with me in all that I do.
2. Replace Negative Thoughts With Biblical Truths
One of the most effective ways to grow in faith is by reading scripture.
It’s one thing to see Bible verses or even hear them but it’s another to experience them for yourself. No matter what you are longing for in life or how you’re feeling, there is so much hope, wisdom, and peace that you can receive when reading the Bible.
If you deal with negative thoughts or feelings you can gain peace and joy today through biblical truths.
Anytime that I am feeling overwhelmed or dealing with negative thoughts I write down all (yes all) thoughts or feelings that I am experiencing. This allows me to acknowledge and overcome fear with faith.
I then find scriptures that I feel speaks directly to what I’m going through and/or experiencing. Next, I create a list of biblical affirmations that reflects God’s Word and speaks against fear.
3. Practice Gratitude Daily
Gratitude is a wonderful way to focus on the good and show appreciation. Expressing thankfulness can radiate positive feelings and emotions that allow you to be present and have help you have mindful moments daily.
Writing down what you’re grateful and even why you’re thankful for things in your life can help you be more optimistic in your daily life.
Gratitude may not change instantly change your circumstances but it can change your attitude and approach towards things. Having a healthy and positive mindset in life is important since our thoughts shape our reality and the actions we take.
4. And Kindness
Spreading kindness is another way to start growing in faith.
In fact, extending the goodness that you receive from God to others can make the world a better place. It can also make you a better person and help you make positive impacts in the lives of others.
5. Live Intentionally
Living a life purpose can help you improve your faith and other important areas of life. When you discover your true self and who you are in Christ, your vision becomes clearer.
