How many times have you waken up and rushed to prepare yourself for the day with little to no effort? I can admit that this used to be the case for me.
This was an unpleasant cycle that I refused to remain stuck in. One lesson I’ve learned from this was that a scattered mind affected my mental health and productivity. It made it nearly impossible to live in the moment and create balance in my life.
If you’ve made it to this post in the hope of gaining insight on how to feel more organized and put together each day, then here are a few helpful tips that have helped me navigate to feeling more put together to take on each day!

8 TIPS TO GET YOU MOTIVATED FOR THE DAY
SELF-CARE
Before starting my day, I like to pour into myself and gather my thoughts before taking on the day at hand. You must start each day nourishing yourself before digging into the day’s responsibilities.
Even if it’s just giving yourself 10-15 minutes of “me time” before starting your day.
You’d be surprised at how well and how much you could accomplish in a day by creating a morning routine that promotes productivity. Keep in mind that you can’t pour into others if your glass is empty!
TIME MANAGEMENT
Another simple way to feel more put together is by managing your time. When your priorities are all over the place, it can become mentally draining and affect your overall productivity. Consequently, if you don’t value your time, you can’t expect others to value your time either.
Therefore, you should prioritize planning each day to add more value to the most important aspects of your life.
Time management allows you to plan and organize your daily activities. Especially when your to-do list is through the roof, therefore, you should take the initiative to start each day with a plan!
PLAN HEALTHY MEALS
If you have a busy schedule, you know how difficult it can be to prioritize healthy meals throughout the week. It’s rather easy to rely on dining out, while it isn’t always the healthiest option.
Therefore, when you set aside time to plan and/or prep your meals at the start of each week, you’re more likely to follow through and eat healthier. Rather than depending on processed foods.
A few months ago, I started my vegan journey. While I’m always learning and improving my vegan diet, I can say I feel great! When you gradually make small changes to your diet, you positively shift your physical and mental health.
EXERCISE DAILY
It’s imperative that you’re moving your body daily! Especially, if you’re working from home.
Nature walks are my jam! However, occasionally I like to challenge myself and complete a few at-home workouts throughout the week.
It doesn’t take much to improve your overall wellness and get your daily exercise in. You can start small and work your way to more challenging workouts. For example, implementing a walk or jog into your daily schedule. In addition, going outdoors and moving your body is a great way to step outside and enjoy some fresh air!
LEARN SOMETHING NEW EACH DAY
Learning something new each day improves your knowledge. When you apply what you’ve learned into your life, you boost your intelligence, experience growth, and impress yourself with your own abilities and strengths.
Whether it’s taking up a new skill, watching an informative video, or listening to podcasts. Make it a habit to implement daily learning into your daily routine!
My favorite way to learn daily is listening to helpful podcasts throughout my day. By doing so, it doesn’t take up too much of my time, and I can learn while checking off my to-do list!
STAY ORGANIZED
Making it a priority to stay organized in all areas of your life saves you stress and can be beneficial to the most important areas of your life.
Life is always full of surprises, so why not stay on top of your priorities? Therefore, you’ll feel at ease and less overwhelmed when adding more to your plate.
Staying organized will also allow you to create more structure in your daily life. Here are 5 simple steps toward becoming more organized!
GET DRESSED
Another helpful tip for feeling more put together, which helps me feel motivated especially when working from home, is getting dressed. Yes! This requires getting out of your PJs and putting on something stylish and comfortable.
My go-to work-from-home outfit is black leggings and a comfy tee. Some days I like to go the extra mile and put on actual clothes. However, it isn’t often! Haha!
Wearing something cute makes you feel good about yourself. Also, I’d like to start doing more than waiting until the weekend to feel put together. You could also try mixing up your wardrobe and trying new colors and styles too!
KEEP YOUR NAILS DONE
Maintaining clean and polished nails will make you feel both feminine and put together. In between trips to the nail salon, you can keep your nails looking great by giving yourself an at-home manicure with cute polishes like these or giving press-ons a try! (which I love!)
ACCESSORIZE
Another effort I like to make to feel more put together is accessorizing my look. Adding accessories and dainty jewelry pieces to your wardrobe can spice up your daily looks. Even if you’re wearing something simple, accessories will make your look more polished!
