With the fear of the current pandemic, it’s important to practice social distancing and healthy hygiene to reduce the spread of COVID-19 aka Coronavirus. Resulting in people spending a lot of time at home and limiting contact with others to the bare minimum.
Although, this is a serious matter and we can’t control what’s happening in the world. However, we can control how we react and how to spend our time while social-distancing.
Today, I’ve put together a list of 55 simple things that you can do while self-isolating. All the while, protecting your mental health and making the most of each day.
1. Journal your thoughts and let go of those unwanted feelings. Here’s a list of journals that I recommend.
2. Make a to-do list and get things done.
3. Take a walk around your neighborhood.
4. Disconnect from social media
5. Read a book.
6. Walk your dog.
7. Have a solo dance party!
8. Play a card game.
9. Cuddle.
10. Do a puzzle.
11. Prayer and worship is a great way to take your mind off all the chaos that’s possibly going on around you. If not, it’s still a great thing to do. When starting my day, I love listening to Elevation Worship’s music on YouTube to keep me uplifted.
12. Listen to podcasts. A few of my favorite podcasts are: Girls Night by Stephanie Mae Wilson, Coffee Convos with Kail & Lindsie and Pretty Basic with Remi & Alisha.
13. Practice deep breathing.
14. Diffuse Oils.
15. Watch TikToks that’ll make you LOL or try learning a new TikTok challenge.
16. Bake a treat.
17. Reorganize your furniture.
18. Give yourself a massage.
19. Take a bubble bath.
20. Make a travel bucketlist.
21. Floss.
22. Have an indoor picnic.
23. Listen to an audiobook.
24. Drink herbal tea. I tend to stick to caffeine-free teas like, Tazo’s Calm Chamomile or this Glazed Lemon Loaf tea. Especially, if you’re wanting something more sweet.
25. Start a devotion in the bible app or visit joycemeyer.org and start her daily devotions.
26. Watch the clouds and daydream.
27. Have a movie night.
28. Take an online course.
29. Move your body and do a workout at home. Cassie has some of the best workout challenges and routines.
30. FaceTime your friends.
31. Start a new series on Netflix. Here’s a few shows I love:

32. Do your own nails.
33. Burn the candles you’ve been saving.

36. Indulge in some self-love.

39. Remember that you aren’t going through this alone.

41. Revamp your skincare routine.

44. Do some online shopping at places like Amazon, SHEIN, Missguided, Shopbop, and Fashion Nova. A little retail therapy won’t hurt nobody. Just be sure not to go all out!
45. Head to a virtual museum.
46. Stay hydrated. Make sure that you’re drinking water daily. Your body will thank you!
47. Learn a new language.
48. Write a list of things you love about yourself.
49. Get financially savvy and learn how to master your money.
50. Start a blog about your passion.
51. Support a small business.
52. Decorate and organize your planner.

54. Discover new wines. Always drink in moderation and never by over-consumption.
