A few years ago, my life looked a lot different from the life I now have. I was very comfortable with where I was. I was happy but it felt like something was missing and I wasn’t getting much fulfillment from the life I was living. It caused me to feel lost and confused. So one day I created a few goals and a vision board with positive words, bible scriptures, and pictures that aligned with the life I wanted. Through that process, I was able to achieve the goals I’d set for myself, and fast forward to four years later I now have a life that I never knew was possible for me. There has been so much that this journey of life has taught me and as I find myself yearning for more and wanting change in my life I’ll be approaching this new journey differently.

No matter how things may look, there is always a way to create change. When you change your perspective and challenge yourself to go after the things you want, you will experience growth and change in your life. KNOW WHAT YOU WANT AND WHY
To create a better life for yourself, you have to know what type of life you want and why. Knowing exactly what you want out of life will help to take actionable steps daily to create change and allow you to take the steps towards creating the life that you desire. Furthermore, knowing why you would to change to happen, will give you the motivation and dedication to follow through because of the value it will bring into your life.
BETTER YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOURSELF
As we go through life, we learn, grow, and our lives become a lot busier and more demanding. With our daily schedules jammed packed with to-do’s our well-being often gets pushed to the back burner. This is why nurturing your relationship with yourself should be your top priority. Spending more time with yourself and showing yourself compassion can contribute to your happiness and strengthen your relationship with others.
LET GO OF FEAR
Another important thing to do when creating a new life for yourself is to let go of fear. If you find yourself thinking of how things could go wrong or not work out, chances are you probably won’t feel motivated to take action. Therefore, you should treat each experience as its own and believe that you are capable of achieving great things. When you believe in yourself, boost your intelligence, improve your personal development, and prioritize your well-being, you will discover that you can accomplish anything. And the fear which was holding you back is no longer stopping you from going after the life of your dreams.

BECOME THE PERSON YOU WANT TO BE
What does your future self look like? What is your future self’s daily life look like? If you could reinvent yourself, how would you show up and how would becoming that person make you feel?
Becoming the person you’ve always wanted to be can seem impossible. However, with patience and self-improvement, you can take a step towards becoming that person each day. Your daily habits and routines contribute to who you are and the person you will become. This means, that to become the person you’ve always wanted to be, you’ll have to think and live as your future self would, and in time you’ll become that person!
SET GOALS
As I mentioned earlier, it’s crucial to know exactly what you want so that you be specific when goal-setting. When you have specific goals you not only have something to work towards daily, but you also feel inspired and motivated to create the future that you visualize for yourself. Goals along with your daily habits and routines are the gap between the life you currently have and the life you want. Using a planner to write down your goals and creating a plan will give you direction to take inspired action towards achieving your goals daily.
TRUST GOD’S TIMING
When it comes to creating the life you want, I’ve learned to trust God’s timing and His plan. Oftentimes, we believe that we know what’s best for ourselves. However, allowing God to develop us while showing up in our lives and during the process of striving for more helps us to become more resilient and prepare ourselves for the blessings to come. Although may not see the change immediately, you can trust that God is working things out for your good and in the end, you’ll discover that God’s plan for you will always be bigger than the plan you have for yourself!
USE AFFIRMATIONS
Using affirmations to create the life you want is a great way to eliminate negative thoughts and replace them with positivity. Since your thoughts play a key role in the person you are and how you feel about yourself, it’s important to guard your mind and be mindful of what you allowing in. Affirmations inspire me to become the best version of myself, motivate me to take action, and allow me to show thankfulness towards the blessings in my life.
