No matter what you may consider to be a distraction to you, it’s costing you something. It could be your time that you could be using to do something more meaningful or your attention that could be used elsewhere.
It may be costing you your joy, peace, creativity or even feeding into your procrastination. Regardless of the distractions, it’s important to remember what’s at stake. A few simple questions you can ask yourself to gain some clarity are:
- is this something that brings joy into my life?
- is this bringing me closer to my goals or improving my life in some way?
- does spending time on this activity daily bring me closer to acheiving my goals or prevent me from taking action?
- does this activity allow me to be fully present and appreciate my life, relationships, and blessings?
- if i continue this activity/habit consistently does it lead to an outcome that I will be proud of?
The goal here to become more intentional and mindful of all you do and don’t do on a daily basis. By doing so, you’re able to move forward with confidence and knowledge to take the right action while creating balance.

It allows me to feel more present and like time has in some way slowed down. That’s the beauty of balance.
No matter how busy or fast life feels, it’s a blessing to have hobbies or even moments in life that reminds you to slow down and embrace the moment.
A few ways you can make time for fun offline are:
