It’s so easy to focus on our own joy, peace, and happiness. But, there are also ways we can show up for the people in our lives.
I’ve also learned that taking the focus off ourselves can give us even great joy and sense of purpose. While at the same time, showing up for the people in our lives.

Whether they express a concern or not, there is not greater feeling than knowing you have someone you can depend on.
This can serve on both the good and bad days. If someone is having a bad day or navigating a tough season, knowing they have someone in their corner can be life changing.
On the other hand, if someone is having a great day or their life is improving in any way. There’s just something about having something about being able to share good news with someone you know will be genuinely happy to hear.
Today’s post is all about thoughtful ways to show up for the people in your life. Through the good, bad, and everything in between. Whether it be your spouse, loved one, friend, stranger, or someone in need.💓💌

Here are 5 Powerful Ways To Show Up For Others
How To Show Up For Others
1. Pray For Them
One of the most effective ways you can show up for someone, is praying for them.
If it’s praying blessings over them, a situation they may be going through, or for their circumstances to improve.
Some people don’t know how to ask for help or may not feel comfortable asking even if they have a need. However, prayer is a great way to invite God in.
This can open the door to allow God in and letting Him lead the way. This could either give them courage to ask for any help they may need or even show you a way that you can be a help to them.
In a way that’s both meaningful and impactful.
2. Encourage Them
Everyone can use some encouragement.
The world is filled with so many things that can keep us distracted, anxious, and everything but present. When we’re so focused on fears, things of the past, or too fixated on outcomes. It can lead to constant worry, which can cause us to keep our thoughts on things that may be stealing our joy.
A great way to encourage someone you love or care about is to remind them of biblical truth. It’s so easy to focus on what’s in front of us to the point we start relying on our own abilities rather than God, His Word, and living a life that reflects His ways.
In hopes of encouraging them to take the next steps forward that they may need to take!🦋
3. Celebrate Them
A fun way to show up for someone is celebrating them.
Did they hit milestone, get promoted, do something meaningful, or overcame/going through a difficult season? If so, that a reason to celebrate them!
You don’t have to wait for their birthday or a holiday to celebrate them. A few unique ways you can celebrate someone special in your life are:
- treat them to lunch
- gift them a special gift
- treat them to a coffee
- buy them flowers
- tell them all the reasons you’re grateful to have them in your life
4. Extend Kindness
Kindness goes a long way. Regardless of what season the people in your life may be going through.
There isn’t anything like extending kindness to others. Kindness is something that can truly boost someone’s mood.
No matter what kind of day they are having. You never know what someone may be going through or type of day they’re having.
And being kind to others whether it’s through kind words, positive attitude, or even a random act of kindness can leave a lasting impact on someone’s life for even years.
5. Sit With Them
Another great way to show up for someone you cherish is to sit with them.
Sure it’s easy (and fun) to do something enjoyable. But it’s extremely thoughtful to show up for them when they need it most.
Wether they are grieving, experiencing loss, or just going trough a tough season. Sometimes, people want to just know they’re not alone.
This can also make a positive impact on their healing journey. Knowing that they can depend on someone.
This act alone can encourage them to process emotions in a healthy way with someone they trust.
