When I first started Kenda Martin LTV, I knew, for the most part, it would take more than writing a blog post and publishing it. If you don’t have any direction, it may become stressful. In this post, I’ll share with you 12 blogging tools and resources that’ll help grow and improve your blog!

BLOGGING TOOLS AND RESOURCES

WORDPRESS.ORG

Suppose you’re wanting to start your blog and would like to become a full-time blogger at some point in your blogging journey. Then you’ll want to use WordPress.Org. When using the free version of a site, you’re limited to a specific access. Which is all and why you should go self-hosted from the start.

This is where my next resource Bluehost comes in.

BLUEHOST

Bluehost is a web hosting service that I use for this blog. I recommend Bluehost not only for their 24/7 customer support team, but it has super affordable plans starting at $2.95/month that keep my site running at it’s absolute best! Whether you’re just starting your blog or wanting to upgrade to self-hosted, you can get started by using my step-by-step guide on how to start a blog here!

CANVA

Canva is another essential tool that bloggers use for creating graphics for blog posts, Pinterest, and other social media platforms. I love using Canva to create beautiful graphics for my blog. However, there are tons of free features available when using Canva, like creating your very own branding kit. You can always upgrade to Canva Pro to unlock more cool features such as stock photos, fonts, and more!

GRAMMARLY

I’ve used Grammarly for quite some time now, and I wish this were something I’ve used from the start. Grammarly is a game-changer! With Grammarly, I can write with confidence and not worry about misspellings or other grammatical errors. This tool has an opportunity to help you become a better writer and allow you to get your point across in the tone in which you intend to use by using its built-in tone detector!

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

This tool allows you to monitor the overall performance of your website by using Google Analytics. By using this tool, you’ll get in-depth details about your audience and insights to help grow your blog!

YOAST SEO

A great tool that helps with adding structure to your content and optimize your SEO. Yoast SEO is an essential WordPress plugin that every blogger needs!

Another excellent blogging tool you’ll need is an email marketing service. Email marketing is one way you can grow your blog and communicate with your subscribers. Mailchimp is an email service provider that I use. It’s easy to use and free up to 2,000 subscribers.

FRESHBOOKS

A great way to keep track of your blogging finances and manage your expenses is by using an accounting software like Freshbooks.

LEGAL PAGES

Your blog should contain a privacy policy and disclosure. It’s imperative to make sure that you have legally required pages to protect your blog. If you would like to purchase legal pages for your blog, then I recommend this legal templates bundle.

GROWING YOUR PINTEREST

TAILWIND

Tailwind is one of the best investments to make that’ll help market your blog. For those wanting to maximize their time and see results daily, I’d recommend using Tailwind as your social media scheduling tool. Tailwind allows me to get a week’s worth of marketing accomplished in 3 hours. Also, this gives me more time to focus on other important tasks throughout the week. By doing so, I’m more active on Pinterest, pinning throughout the day, and getting other blog-related work done!

BOSS GIRL BLOGGERS PINTEREST TEMPLATES

STOCK PHOTOS

I don’t consider myself a photographer, but you’ll need images for your blog posts and graphics. There’s plenty of free or paid sites to choose from when it comes to choosing beautiful and feminine stock photos that’ll help improve your user experience.

Here are a few sites that I recommend:

  • Canva Pro
  • Unsplash
  • Pexels
  • Creative Market
