Although it takes discipline to stick to your daily routine, when working towards your goals you must be mindful of the decisions you make from the moment you wake up to the moment you unwind for the day.
So if you’re ready to create a daily routine and schedule to help you become the best version of yourself, then here are 5 ways to create an effective daily routine and look forward to each day!
HOW TO CREATE AN EFFECTIVE DAILY ROUTINE
1. CREATE A LIST
When it comes to creating an effective daily routine, the first thing that you may want to do is create a list and have a brain dump session of all that needs to get done each day. This list doesn’t need to be in any specific order, this is just a way to transfer what needs to be down from your mind onto paper. On the list, you can include both big and small tasks, as well as, personal and work-related tasks.
2. PRIORITIZE WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU
Now that you have a list of all that needs to be done you can now prioritize the most important things. Although it’d be great to check off every task on your list, it’s crucial to be realistic and allow yourself to focus on the tasks to create balance in your daily life. When setting your intentions for the day I recommend completing the most challenging task first. I’ve found this extremely helpful and an effective way to accomplish my daily goals. By doing so, your top priorities will get finished sooner and then you can work on completing other tasks that do not require as much time as the bigger tasks.
3. STRUCTURE YOUR DAY + CREATE A SCHEDULE
To set yourself up for success, create a productive daily schedule to ensure you’re getting the MIT (Most Important Tasks) done to avoid forgetting about certain tasks throughout the day or rushing to finish them. When you make your priorities known, you can add structure to your days and make time for the things that matter. Since each month, week, and day may look different, adjust your schedule to new seasons. When taking on new responsibilities or setting new goals can make an impact on how you spend your days. Be sure to include your morning and nighttime routines.

5. BE PRESENT
Allow yourself to be present and focus on one task or activity at a time. In the past, I struggled with completing my to-do list because I was focused on gazillion different things at once. This affected my ability to work efficiently and left me feeling overwhelmed, with a lot of unchecked boxes on my list of things to do. Jumping from task to task can take a toll on your work performance.
6. KNOW WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE YOU YOU
Lastly, success looks different to everyone. There is no wrong or right way to create a daily routine. However, finding ways to align your daily habits and routine with the life you want can create change. Defining what success means to you can help you appreciate each day and show gratitude towards the life you have while creating the life you want.
