Therefore, if you’re looking for new pastimes that are fun and creative, here are some ways you can spend a little more time with yourself!

1. Calming Walks In Nature

Walking has become one of my favorite hobbies. When I’m feeling great, stressed, or need an energy boost, I go for a walk in nature. Spending time in nature for just 30 minutes a day can help get your daily exercise. Also, it helps improve your health, and you’ll be able to enjoy some fresh air while doing so.

2. Writing

Hobbies for depression.

Journaling is a powerful way to organize your thoughts and feelings. By using journal prompts and guided journals help you ease your mind and gain mental clarity.

In addition to journaling, blogging is a great way to share your knowledge and passion with others. Blogging during your free time can be fun and also rewarding.

There are so many opportunities when it comes to blogging. Such as the potential to grow and generate income.

3. Gardening

How many times have you seen beautiful flowers while outdoors?

Gardening is another great spare time activity to start if you enjoy flowers or grow your own vegetables. Even if you don’t have the outdoor space, there are many indoor plants that you can use to spruce up your home and test your green thumb.

4. Solving A Puzzle

Solving puzzles are also a great way to tapping into the creative side of your brain. It’s a fun and cost-effective hobby that you can enjoy alone or with others!

5. Get A Pet

Although being a pet owner is a huge responsibility, it’s a great way to spend your time. Having a pet provides companionship, adds more happiness to your life, and you’ll have to dedicate your time to take care of them. Whatever pet you have in mind, you’ll want to do your research beforehand to give them the care they need.

6. Cooking

While dining out can be convenient, perhaps you could try making some of your favorite meals at home. Cooking can be fun and very useful to diversify your everyday meals. Being that music provides many benefits, it’s safe to say that you don’t always have to be hands-on to do something you enjoy. With various genres to browse through, discover new artists and tunes that you can enjoy listening to!

Nails, bath bombs, candles, jewelry, clothing, you name it!

Fun Fact: I played the flute for 7 years! Such a fun memory and hobby that I would like to start up again!

10. Reading

You may think reading is boring, but you’re in for a treat. Reading can help reduce stress levels, expand your vocabulary, improve your writing skills, and much more!

If you find it difficult picking up a book and reading, you’ll want to select a book from a genre that interests you the most. Whether it’s fiction or non-fiction novels. I personally prefer non-fiction, and here are my current reads that I’m enjoying:
