What exactly is peace to you? Perhaps, living a care-free life or maybe not taking your mental and spiritual well-being seriously until something drastic happens.
It’s usually pretty easy to put things that are troubling your heart on the back burner and keep it all bottled up. Eventually, this will cause you to live a life full of worrying, stress, and anxiety. You shouldn’t live life worrying and stressing over things that are beyond your control. God intended us to live a joyful life and stressing or worrying just isn’t healthy.
Worrying steals your peace and is the complete opposite of having faith. You never want to doubt God’s abilities and His power. Choosing to have faith in God is trusting and having hope in his word. Rather than depending on your own abilities to get you through anything you may experience in life.
PRAYER
Making prayer a priority in our busy lives is one of the best ways to communicate and be intimate with God. I always start my day with a morning prayer and pray throughout my day as well. Having faith in God is an effective way to living a joy-filled life. Whether you’re having a great day or difficult one, remember to pray and leave everything that is troubling your heart with God and allow Him to do His work!
CHOOSE JOY
Some days you might wake up and feel like, “Ugh! It’s going to be one of those days.” When having these moments trust that God will work things out for you and take away any stress that’s not intended for you to carry. You have to have hope that He will fill you with his peace and love. Remember to leave all your worries with God and this will allow Him to work things out in your favor.

READ HIS WORD
Reading God’s word is therapeutic and a reassuring way to feeding your soul. Personally, reading God’s word gives me so much hope, reassurance, and strength. You can start with reading a scripture or challenge yourself to complete a scripture writing plan. Feeding your spirit daily with the promises of God and applying his word to your life will bring you more peace!
THANKFULNESS
Practicing gratitude and remembering all that God has done will also help you overcome those obstacles that may come your way. Thanking God in advance for those things you are praying for will also leave no room for negativity. Simply reflect on what God has done thus far and thank him for his divine grace.
SCRIPTURES & AFFIRMATIONS
Using scriptures and affirmations is another way to combat those negative feelings which will ultimately strengthen and renew your mind. Having scriptures around your home, on your phone, or simply writing them down will inspire you to depend on God and only God to help you through those difficult times.
