The holiday season is my favorite time of the year. However, with holiday dinners, activities, gift shopping, and daily responsibilities life can begin to feel like a complete blur if you don’t prepare yourself for the busy season. Staying organized during the holidays can help you to avoid stress and give your more time to enjoy each day by planning ahead. In today’s post, I’ll share a few ways to help you stay organized so that you can enjoy all of the fall and winter festivities this holiday season. Here are 6 ways to stay organized during the holidays!
HOW TO STAY ORGANIZED THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
FILL IN YOUR PLANNER
The holidays are the most wonderful time of the year and also the busiest. It can become a bit overwhelming with holiday parties, family gatherings, dinners, decorating, and shopping for your loved ones. This is why I highly recommend using a holiday planner to help you stay organized during the holidays. Having a space where you can create lists of things that need to be done, and write down important dates and notes will make your life less chaotic during the holidays. If you’re someone who has a busy schedule during the holidays then you can benefit from using a planner which will help you to be more organized for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and allow you to embrace the holiday season and feel more prepared.
CREATE A MENU FOR HOLIDAY MEAL
Whether you’re preparing holiday meals for your family or hosting a holiday dinner party, creating a holiday menu can save you a lot of time and stress. Knowing what dishes, desserts, drinks, etc will be on the menu can help you to create a grocery list for all items that you need to prepare your holiday meal and will save you extra trips to the store and you won’t have to worry about forgetting anything.
DECLUTTER YOUR HOME
As we bring more into our homes, they can become a bit cluttered during the holiday season. Decluttering your home and keeping it tidy can transform your living space. With this in mind, now would be a great time to get rid of things you no longer need to create more space in your home. You could also donate or sell your unwanted items to give them a new home that someone else could use.
CREATE A HOLIDAY BUDGET
Your expenses can add up with gift shopping, meal planning, and holiday festivities. Creating a budget is crucial to managing your finances, especially during the holiday season. Setting a holiday budget can help you save money, have less stress, and spend without the fear of emptying your pockets.

CREATE A GIFT-GIVING SHOPPING LIST
Once you’ve set a holiday budget, you can now create a gift-giving list. By doing so, you’ll make gifting a more enjoyable experience and less stressful. This list should include a list of everyone you’ll be shopping for, gift ideas, the store or site you’ll be purchasing the gift(s) from, and pricing info so that you can easily track your holiday shopping and spending. Using a gift-giving list will help you to stay organized and keep track of all the gifts you’ve purchased for your loved ones.

MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF
Although the holiday season is about giving and showing others kindness and love, it’s crucial that you are setting aside time for yourself. This time of year can be stressful, overwhelming, and very busy. Creating quiet moments in your daily schedule that allows you to cultivate joy can embrace the season and help you to develop a grateful heart. A great way to enjoy this busy season is to implement seasonal activities to help you make the most of the holiday season.
