Daily Habits For Faith Over Fear
1. Read The Bible To Discover God’s Truth’s & Promises
Reading The Bible and gaining knowledge of who God is, His truth and His promises can be a great help in your daily life. The Bible is filled with tons of scriptures to encourage and guide you through anything that you may be facing.
No matter what life looks like right now, you can rely on the Word of God through it all. Having a Bible version that you can understand is also crucial.
You can use the Bible App to discover different Bible versions that allow you to better understand and apply His Word to your life.
2. Replace Fear With Encouraging Bible Verses
One thing that has helped me tremendously is replacing my fear and negative thoughts with Biblical Affirmations. Our minds process many things daily and we should be mindful of what we’re thinking about.
The more we think about something the more likely it is to make an impact in our lives. If we constantly give in to our fears, it can take a toll on our wellness and mindset. The way we think can also impact the way we feel and our actions.
This is why I like to have a few Bible scriptures to start my day with so that when fear tries to creep in I rely on the Holy Spirit to lead me.
3. Don’t Absorb Negativity
Not allowing yourself to absorb negativity can be extremely difficult. However, we have a helper and so much more in Jesus. Talk to Him about those feelings and emotions rather than letting negativity get the best of you.
You can also achieve this through prayer, journaling, or by having a conversation with God like you would have with a dear friend. All while knowing that He cares, listens, comforts, and is trustworthy with your fears, feelings, and emotions.
4. Focus On The Good And Building Faith
There is so much good to appreciate in life. Gratitude is an effective way to allow yourself to focus on the things that you are grateful for.
I implemented gratitude into my morning routine at the start of the year and it has made a world of difference.
While there may be things that you’d like to see improve in your life, staying focused and maintaining faith over fear can make your fears seem insignificant when you place your trust in God.
5. Pray and spend Intentional Time With God Daily
Having intentional time with God daily is a great way to make your faith bigger than your fear. This can be done at the start of your day, throughout your day, or even before bed.
Creating good habits to grow in faith can help you focus more on God and live a more meaningful life rather than being fixated on your fears. Worrying doesn’t change things, so why not give those worries to God so that you can love and enjoy the life you live?
