Honestly, I’ve struggled with time management in the past. Although, I’ve always been good about making a to-do list. It was a hassle trying to get a million things done throughout the day and barely seeing any progress.
Until I started a morning routine to help me be more productive and bring more peace into my life.
Here are 7 things that you could add to your morning routine to have a more productive day!
How To Have A Productive Day
7 Morning Habits To Have A More Productive Day
1. Wake Up Early To Kickstart Your Day
I believe the key to kickstarting your day is to wake up early. You’ll accomplish more and be more productive throughout the day. When you’re up early, you have more time on your hands.
This way, you can take advantage of and tackle your to-do list. If you wake up 2 hours earlier than usual, you’ll be able to get things done early and won’t have to rush or worry about it later in the day.
2. Meditate To Clear Your Mind
Meditating is the first thing that I do. This helps start your day with peace and balance by reflecting on what you’re grateful for and showing thankfulness. It’s important to start each day with a positive mindset so that you’re motivated and ready to accomplish what’s on the agenda for today!
3. Drink A Glass Of Water
Drinking water daily plays many roles in our everyday lives and has many benefits. Water is not only healthy for you but can boost your mood, give you brighter and clearer skin, and also leave you feeling energized!

4. Eat A Healthy Breakfast
Kickstart your day with a healthy breakfast so that your body gets the nutrition it needs. You’ll feel more energized and motivated to get things done when you start your day with a nurturing breakfast.
My favorite is oatmeal with fruits and infused water. It keeps me from being hungry throughout the day and allows me to be more productive while working.
5. Open Your Blinds For Natural Sunlight
When there is no natural light in your home, and you’re just lounging around in a dark space, you’ll probably feel less motivated to do anything productive. Boost your mood by letting the light shine in and opening your blinds.
6. Make Your Bed To Boost Productivity
Nothing beats the feeling of making your bed in the morning. This is an excellent start to your morning instead of hitting the snooze button for a few extra minutes of sleep.
When you make your bed first thing in the morning, you won’t feel tempted to get back in it and feel motivated to start your day!

Get in the habit of planning and setting your intentions for the day ahead of time. Planning your day and setting high expectations for yourself will set the tone for your mood for the day. You should know exactly what you’ll need to accomplish each day.
Making an effective to-do list will help you manage your time and work efficiently to ensure that you get things done. Checking off each item on your to-do list will motivate you to accomplish more and complete each goal you’ve set for the day!
