Things That Allow Creativity To Flow With Ease
6 Ways To Express Creativity Naturally
1. Staying Inspired & Encouraged
Inspiration and encouragement can be extremely effective tools for helping you expressing your creativity.
Especially on the days you’re feeling unmotivated, discouraged, or just not feeling it.
Whether you express your creativity through speaking, singing, writing, arts, movement, or any other unique way. It’s so beautiful to see creative ideas come to reality.
This is why it’s crucial to create from a place a joy, peace, and clarity. You could think of if as mentally, spiritually, and emotionally preparing yourself for creating.
You can achieve this though using motivational quotes or using Bible verses that speak specifically to your heart.
2. Creating Lists
Lists are a great way to get all of your ideas out of mind and written down. Creating lists for specific areas of life or even projects can save you the mental load and stress of trying to remember thoughts and ideas.
The best part about it is, it doesn’t take long to jot down notes or reference to them when you’re ready to use them.
If you’re someone who’s always coming up with new ideas, I’d highly recommend keeping your thoughts organized by taking notes.
You can do so by using the notes app in your phone, a planner, or a compact notebook that you can keep accessible to you while on the go.
3. Creating Good Playlists To Set The Vibe
Music is another thing that can help instantly uplift your mood.
I think it’s both wise and fun to have playlists that are upbeat, positive, and made with intention. You don’t have to sit down for hours curating the perfect playlists you can build them overtime.
In fact, I have multiple playlists that I’ve been building for years. One of the most effective ways I’ve learned to create from a space of joy is having goooood playlists.
And when it comes to creativity and working on my passion here a few different types of playlists that allow me to create with ease and overcome mental blocks:
- worship playlist – for shifting my focus to where my strength comes from and preparing my heart
- lighthearted and upbeat playlist – really just to lighten my mind and
- instrumentals – for deep focus and maximizing clarity when writing
- dark noise – for reducing stress, being present, and becoming distraction free
4. Using Timers For Productivity & Getting Started
Although it’s important to create from a place of peace, it’s also helpful to have specific tools that help you work efficiently.
Setting a timer to help you get started is a great way to help you reduce the chances of you overthinking and procrastinating to get things done. I’ve found that setting a timer adds a sense of urgency and is a great way to get things done even before you feel motivated to so.
And before you know it, your timer will be going off and your task(s) will either be finished or in progress to be completed. This also allows you to be present and to let your creativity flow.
Things don’t have to perfect, you can make improvements once finished.🎀
5. Simple Yet Intentional Daily Routines
Daily routines are powerful and can shape how you feel throughout your day.
If you’re a creative in any way then you know how essential it is to prepare mentally and physically before getting started on a project or task.
This may look like journaling to clear and ease your mind. Praying for guidance, completing your morning routine, planning your day, or even creating a distraction free space to you focus.
While your passions may be something that you genuinely enjoy showing up for daily. It’s important to prioritize your faith and your inner world as well. Your mind and emotions should be acknowledged and processed daily in healthy ways.
Simply because if ignored it can impact how you show up.
6. Systems That Work For You
In addition to the tips mention earlier, it’s crucial to find systems that work for you.
What this looks like for me is creating templates for reoccurring tasks that allow me to just show up and input my new ideas. This not only saves me time but it makes it so much easier to be consistent.
The systems you create can be for both your personal and professional life as well.
This adds simplicity to even the most difficult tasks. Rather than your time being spent planning, you can focus on taking action and creating in ways that move you forward. Which will give you the space to grow!🌸
