When it comes to a glow-up, people tend to focus on the outer and physical aspects of their lives. Such as their body, appearance, and leveling up in the most noticeable ways.
This isn’t a bad thing, however, glow-ups start from within and when you work on your innermost being, it feels as if you’ve become an entirely new person.
A glow-up isn’t something you do for others, it’s something you do for yourself. It’s a time for you to focus on yourself and discover who you are. Glowing up in my opinion is a spiritual, mental, and physical transformation that allows you to blossom into the version of yourself that you wish to be.
Glowing up can lead to you becoming a more confident, radiant, healthier, and happier person. In today’s post, I share with you the best tips to help you glow up. And you may be thinking how long doesn’t it take to feel and see change within yourself?

Before we get into the good stuff, it’s only right to start with the most important thing. Which happens to be your wellness. Since the real glow-up starts inside. You must be willing to develop healthy habits that make a positive impact on your overall health.
Looking back to when I first started my wellness journey, I discovered that everything started with a positive mind and good habits.
Creating healthier habits ultimately resulted in bettering my relationship with myself, and learning the true meaning of self-love. Here are a few ways to glow up in your health and wellness.
Habits To Help You Glow Up Physically and Mentally
- Drink water – There are so many benefits of drinking water such as flushing out toxins, improving your skin, and many more! Drinking water daily is a great way to stay hydrated and nourish your body. If you find it difficult to drink water daily, then I recommend finding a water bottle that you can carry with you throughout the day to ensure you’re drinking enough water each day. Also, limiting caffeine and sugary drinks or replacing them with water is another fantastic way to make healthier choices.
- Move your body – Exercise not only helps you stay in shape but it can be a mood booster and help you to reduce stress. Finding a workout that you enjoy and making it a daily practice can boost your confidence and it doesn’t have to be an extreme workout either. Make it a goal to move your body 3-5 times a week and you will without a doubt start to feel and see change. If you’re like me and gyms aren’t your thing then here are a few ways you can stay fit without a gym.
- Eat healthier meals – Having a balanced diet to make sure you nourish your body and make healthy choices can help you become more intentional when eating and snacking. This not only makes a great impact on your body but your overall wellness. Which will lead to a healthier and happier you!
- Get your beauty sleep – Give yourself permission to rest so that your reset and recharge. After all, your body does a lot to keep you going throughout the day. So be sure to take care of your body by getting your beauty sleep. Creating an evening routine and a relaxing sleep environment allows you to quiet your mind and sleep better!
- Find healthy ways to destress daily– Finding healthy ways to manage stress is crucial. Letting go of unwanted thoughts, feelings, and emotions can serve a great purpose. Journaling, gratitude, daily affirmations, and meditation are great ways to release and heal from things that may cause you to feel overwhelmed.
- Limit your screen time – Doing a digital detox and being present in your life can help you to appreciate life. Rather than spending an excessive amount of time on your devices.

A glow up can also mean getting your finances in order and bettering your relationship with money. To be financially secure there are a few simple steps you can take to get yourself on the path to having financial peace.
- Review your finances – Take a moment to review your spending habits, bills, expenses, income, etc…
- Create a budget – Creating a budget and sticking to it plays a significant role in the way you manage and spend your money. Without a budget, you may spend freely, which may backfire when it’s time to make payments and save money each month. This will also make it difficult to follow through with your financial goals.
