How To Become More Organized
5 Habits To Organize Your Life
1. Organize Your Passwords & Login Information
Have you ever tried logging into an account and found yourself guessing until you’ve locked yourself out or had to reset your password?
This happened to me before, until I decided to record them. However, so much has changed since I started this blog. There are so many different sites and accounts that I use daily. So, I’ve started managing my passwords in the old-fashioned way to ensure my information is safe and secure.
I’m currently using the Internet Password Book. While this book can be used to organize your login credentials, you’re also able to keep track of websites and contact information for accounts that you may have.
It’s important to create strong passwords to protect your personal information. So, be sure to keep your login information put away and in space that you can access when you need it to access your accounts.
Whether you’re storing your passwords electronically or on paper, be sure to take the necessary steps to protect and safely store your data.
2. Start Using A Planner
If you want to add more structure to your life then I recommend using a planner.
Planners are for staying up to date on important events, appointments, birthdays, holidays, and so much more. Using a planner can also help you prioritize your days while ensuring that you make time for everything you intend to do.
Since I’ve started taking planning more seriously, I’ve created daily routines and use to-do lists more effectively. This makes my days less stressful and ensures that I’m being intentional about how I spend my time.
Planning doesn’t have to be boring. There are plenty of cute and functional planners that can help improve the important areas of your life. Such as health, wellness, finances, etc. If you need help finding the best planner to get you organized, then I recommend checking out this list of planners.
3. Declutter When Needed
Cluttered areas not only take up physical space but can also create clutter in your mind. If your surroundings are a mess, you may find your mind filled with thoughts. This can make it difficult to focus on the task at hand.
Eliminating things in your life that you no longer need or use can positively impact your overall well-being. Besides, this will help you get organized and create more space for the important things in your life.
Here are a few things you could declutter:
- Declutter your tech: Go through your devices and delete any files or photos you no longer need. I can’t count the number of times I’ve gone to take a picture, and my storage was full! Save yourself time and stress by freeing up some space on your devices.
- Declutter your mind: To be focused, you must mentally declutter your mind. Whether your mind is full of tasks that you need to get done or unwanted thoughts. Try writing down what’s on your mind to create a clear headspace. You can clear your mind by doing a brain dump or by using journaling prompts.
- Declutter your home: Clean as you go and get rid of things that no longer serve a purpose in your life.
4. Track Your Spending
It is wise to stay on top of your finances and spending habits. When you’re making good money habits like budgeting and tracking your spending, it’ll prevent you from overspending.
I’ve learned to keep track of how much I’m spending to avoid financial stress. Tracking my spending helps me achieve this goal and keeps me informed of my money habits.
Also, knowing how much I plan to spend each day without it negatively affecting my savings allows me to feel more comfortable

5. Value Your Time
In addition to planning and prioritizing your days, you should make sure that you’re valuing your time. Making time for the important things and people in your life are essential to the quality of your life.
One of the best ways to value your time is by only committing to things that bring joy into your life. Your time is valuable! It would help if you spent it in ways that you genuinely enjoy. When you value your time, others will also respect your time as well.
Therefore, start implementing time into your schedule for the important things in your life. Such as work, relationships, health, pets, faith, and most importantly, self-care. When doing so, keep in mind that it’s okay to give yourself a break when needed!
